The times can be misleading, as I found out when I filed my police report. They mark it as the last time you parked the car, but the theft could have happened anytime between then and when you discover it is missing. In my case, I had parked it in the afternoon (around 3 PM), saw it was still there around 8 PM, and discovered it stolen the next morning around 9 AM. They marked my car stolen as 3 PM, even though I had seen it after that.
* Hey guys my car was broken into in the alley in between Wooster and Robertson south of Olympic and north of whitworth. Please keep your cars locked and nothing valuable inside. this happened last night or this morning so they might still be around or might live right around here.
* Someone broke into our car a few months ago in broad daylight on Sherbourne/Olympic. Back side window smashed.
We’d left a laptop case in the back seat that they apparently thought contained a laptop (it didn’t). They didn’t actually steal anything, but it cost around $400 to fix. So yeah, like you say, leave nothing valuable inside–or that looks potentially valuable.
* My husband’s car was broken into as well last night\early morning. We are on Bedford.
* I moved from sf and this happened constantly there along with homelessness. Affordable housing and way more if it is needed! But anyway, lots of people left their cars unlocked with nothing in them to prevent broken car windows. Extreme but something to consider.
* Someone stole the Nissan logo off of my son’s car which was parked in front of my house on Bedford.
You know folks, if you have to steal Nissan logos and garden hoses and anything else that is not nailed down, you can’t afford to live here and YOU DON’T BELONG HERE!!!
* Have lived here since 1998. Have had 2 platinum converters stolen from our cars. House broken into once.
* I had mentioned a few months back my light weight hose was stolen from inside the fenced in 4 plex! From the spicket. I now bring in my light weight 50 foot hose inside the house after I water! I learned my lesson!!! My parents built a house on the 3200 box of Oakhurst Ave., 1950. The days in the 50’s n 60′ when everyone knew everybody on the entire block n acts of violence were rare. I came back to the neighborhood / overwhelmed with crime and violence. Even the coyotes are running wild and out of control!!!
