What I gathered (from what I read), was that four people in their teens / early 20s (one armed) starting holding people up in Beverlywood. The police came after them and they fled north towards Beverly Hills where they were all eventually caught.

Raised a Seventh-Day Adventist at Avondale College in Australia, Luke Ford moved to California in 1977.
